The WORKSHOP fee is $825 until April 1 and $900 thereafter.
Workshop and Auditor applications open March 1. Space is limited. MNWC Application
Poetry, Fiction, or Creative Nonfiction Workshop Application Requirements:
- All applicants are required to submit five to ten pages of poetry (single-spaced, one poem per page) or ten to twenty pages of prose (double-spaced) in chosen genre by completing the form below. Please include your name and page numbers on each submission.
- If you plan to use your application submission for a manuscript consultation with workshop faculty, please see the style guide on the Manuscript Consultations page.
- Participants are selected on the basis of literary promise or accomplishment in the writing sample.
- Applications are processed first-come, first-served on a weekly basis until the workshop cap of 12 participants is reached. (The cap is only 8 in the fiction workshop.)
- Applications will be acknowledged promptly and applicants will be notified of their workshop status within 2 weeks or sooner.
- If workshops fill quickly, applicants will be placed on a waiting list.
- Once a workshop is filled, you may have the option of joining another workshop.
- Manuscripts for the manuscript consultation option may be submitted post-application (up until the May 10 deadline) on the Manuscript Consultations page, if space allows.

In-Person Auditors Track: This option does not include participation in a workshop with our faculty. The cost is $200. Auditors are capped at 20 this year.
- Applicants for the Auditor Track should indicate that selection on the form below.
- Applicants for the Auditor Track are not required to submit a writing sample.
